Item Details

This gorgeous vintage textile was rescued from a quilt. It comes from the Shanghai area where historically most families had a handloom for weaving textiles for their own use. The textile is a thick cotton with a lovely texture from the hand spun yarn. The finished piece was taken to local dyers who had a range of patterns for screen printing onto the textile. The colours have faded over time to soft black currant, blue and lichen green and is very pretty. I've backed the cushions with a complimentary vintage indigo stripe from the same area. There are zip fasteners and deluxe feather pads.
