Item Description
This Ottoman embroidery is taken from the end of a towel. The towel if in a hand-spun hand woven natural cotton and the embroidery in very tiny silk and metallic thread stitching. It is absolutely exquisite and the green and coral colours are much better in reality. The photo doesn't really do it justice despite my best efforts. I've mounted the embroidery on antique hemp over a stretched canvas and there is a hanging wire attached to the back.
The size of the fragment is 24cm x 26cm, the size given below if for the frame.
If required I can frame the embroidery or cover with a Perspex box to protect from UV light damage so please ask for a quote.
