These lovely big fat cushions are made from the central panels of a Dai wedding blanket. The Dai are one of the Chinese minority groups from Yunnan Province, SW China. The blanket dates to mid C20,  is made from hand loomed in cotton and the blue colour is from indigo dye. The loom was only 13" wide so I've joined two panels to get a good sized cushion. The backs of the cushions are vintage hand loomed cotton textiles from the weaving districts of Shanghai, in blue and red stripes. There are zip fasteners and deluxe feather pads.
