This lovely little lavender pillow is made from a textile fragment from a vintage Miao baby carrier. The textile was hand loomed in mainly green and pink colours, with a bit of blue and bizarrely a tiny patch of silver lurex (shown). I've backed the pillow in a vintage hand woven textile from the weaving districts of Shanghai in a green and blue check, which works amazingly well. I've added tassels from Central Asia in fuschia pink with tiny green beads on the ends. The cushion is stuffed full of Provencal lavender selected for its long lasting scent. It's a lovely thing and would make a perfect gift for a textile lover. Too good to put in a drawer. I have mine on the coffee table and on my bedside table and love the wafts of scent. Scrunch it up to enliven it.
