Item Details

This exquisite and large cushion is made from a vintage Swat shawl. The shawl is a madder coloured silk embroidery on a ground textile of hand spun and hand loomed cotton. There are accents of blue silk outlining the red pattern. I've backed the cushion with a handloomed cotton textile from East China in dark red and black which works beautifully. The cushion has a zip fastener and deluxe feather insert. Its a one off. The Swat embroideries tend to be in bright pink or red colours so i was very excited to get this madder colour.
