The most spectacular mid century double sunburst mirror of the grandest scale. This imposing mirror is presented in superb original condition. The raised central bezel is deep shining silver leaf above a circle of short swirling rays of gilded sunshine. The lower tier is assembled from a mass of far reaching architectural gilt wood rays. The entire surface of the sun has developed the most unique, even appearance with historical patina over the past near century. An exceptional sunburst mirror that could work perfectly as an overmantle or wall mirror in either period or contemporary surroundings. Large gilt wood sunburst mirror. France circa 1950.
