Item Details

A 19th century French overmantle/ wall mirror of good proportions. The gilding to this iconic French mirror has worn a little over the past century and more revealing varying base tones of cream and terracotta creating a pleasing contrast of colours in perfect harmony with the gold leaf together with its history and use. A decorative pattern of flowers and leaves etched neatly into the raised central border to the mirror frame. Original glass mirror plate with minor speckles. Original pine backboards.
