Item Details

A mid 19th century carved wood wall mirror decorated with entwining vine leaves interspersed with carved wood grapes on the vine. Beautifully gilded with some historical surface wear revealing small areas of the warm reddish basecoat. Superb structure to the intricate frame with no weaknesses. The glass plate is in good original condition with only one or two minor blemishes. May be hung either landscape or portrait. Later backboard. Carved wood mirror circa 1860.
