A 19th century French cast iron urn. Extremely decorative with layers of original old paint faded and worn over the past near two centuries creating a wonderfully atmospheric surface. The bowl is deep with plenty of room for planting with two flamboyant carrying handles. Raised upon an elegant waisted socle. A substantial statement piece urn that could work equally well inside or out. France circa 1860.
