Item Details

An early 19th century French wall mirror. The serpentine shaped frame to this charismatic mirror would have originally been completely gilded but the gilding has rubbed and faded a little in places over the past century and more revealing an atmospheric palette of rich warm cream and terracotta. There are minor dints to frame only adding to its history and charm. The centre moulding is decorated with a wide band of gilded stripes against a terracotta background. Good original mirror plate. Original back boards.
