English Elm tilt top table. The circular top to this pretty table has developed the most glorious patina and deep rich colour over the past two centuries. The original catch mechanism still remains to the underside of the table which secures the table top in position when down, when the catch is released the top can be placed in the upright position. The solid Elm top sits securely upon an Elm turned wood stem supported by a tripod base with equal richness of colour and patina. English country Elm table circa 1820.
