A mid century sunburst mirror of the grandest scale. The large circular mirror plate to this fabulous sunburst is set behind a wide gilt wood bezel. A mass of gilded wooden rays arranged over two tiers surround the original plate. The bright gilded surface is full of lustre with natural historical wear allowing the deep ochre coloured basecoat to shine through evenly around the sunny rays complimenting the golden sun.
A superb example of a sunburst mirror with such unusually large proportions. Superb original condition. Circa 1960.
