Item Details

A 19th century Florentine mirror. The oak frame to this evocative mirror consists of a series of carved scrolling Acanthus leaves between four gilded shells. The gilding to the frame has naturally worn a faded over the past century and more revealing layers of muted colours creating a wonderfully rich atmospheric surface. The frame holds a later bevelled mirror plate ensuring perfect reflection. Carved wood Florentine mirror. Italy circa 1880.
