Item Details

A 19th century wall mirror. The frame to this decorative mirror is formed from layers of stylised leaves overlapping around the antique glass mirror plate. The gilding was applied over a century ago and in this time has gently and evenly rubbed away revealing the deep russet coloured basecoat creating a rich mixture of earthy tones together with a warm atmospheric surface. Some minor blips and blemishes to the mirror plate. Replaced back board.
