Item Details

A pair of late 19th century upholstered armchairs. These superb French armchairs have been newly upholstered from scratch. Like the majority of our arm chairs all old decaying materials have been removed and replaced with new where necessary keeping as much of the original as possible ensuring many more years of use and comfort, finally covered in Colefax and Fowler 100% pure Aqua blue linen. The solid beech frames have been cleaned and strengthened to ensure maximum stability and support. The exterior show wood has a neat reeded detail to the rails beneath the seats and raised upon two reeded beech legs to the front with two straighter swept legs to the back. The old weak castors have been replaced with quality brass replicas. Upholstered armchairs circa 1890.
