Item Details

A decorative pair of early 20th tole porch lanterns. The surface to these pretty lanterns has developed a wonderful rustic patina over the past century with remains of the original pinky paint. There are clear panes of glass to three sides with the fourth side being open to the back making it easier to place the candle into an integral candle tray. The lantern canopy is surmounted with a cluster of vertical tole leaves together with the original hanging chain. Can be wired for electricity if desired. French toleware lanterns circa 1920.
