Item Details

An elegant pair of 19th century oval giltwood wall mirrors. The frames to these graceful mirrors are decorated to the outer edge with a neat uniform design and have retained the original gilding for well over a century, there is a small amount of even surface wear as one would expect for the period allowing just a little amount of base coat to show through only enhancing the  rich gold leaf above. Quality bevelled mirror plates have been used to replace the originals giving pure clear reflection. The original pine backboards remain intact, sound and woodworm free. To the top of the mirrors sit the original antique brass ring hooks. France circa 1870.
