Item Details

A decorative pair of 19th century French sofas in original paint. The show wood frames to these beautiful sofas still boast the original painted surface together with some small areas highlighted in fine gold leaf.
The frames are sound and sturdy with no loose joints. The paint has naturally rubbed and faded a little in places only adding to their immense charm. The backs and seats have recently been upholstered up to calico leaving the final covering to one’s own choice. Pair of French sofas circa 1880.
