A 19th century French cherrywood server. These iconic three drawer French serving tables are becoming increasingly hard to find so we are lucky to have found this one! Like most of our many servers this particular one started life a little deeper in scale but has recently been narrowed down slightly making it easier to place within the home. Often used behind the sofa as a long lamp table but they do indeed fit perfectly well in any setting, whether period or contemporary. The top has been reduced to a depth of three beautifully seasoned long dense cherry timbers tightly closed together to create a good flat surface. Below are the three original deep drawers with later quality solid brass handles. The drawers all fit well and run with perfect ease. The whole piece standing on solid cherrywood square tapering legs.
Gorgeous deep honey colour with rich patina. A superb example of a French fruitwood server in dense solid cherrywood.
