An early 19th century French silver leaf wall mirror. Over the past near two centuries the silver leaf has worn a little in places revealing specs of the dark charcoal grey base coat creating an atmospheric combination of silver and grey, a neat pattern of entwining leaves etched finely into the surface add to the historical charm of this already unique little mirror. Small areas of tarnishing to the silver contrast with the bright lustre. Perfect original mirror plate with no blemishes. Original sound backboards. France circa 1840.
