Item Details

A 19th century French powder room mirror. The raised central moulding to this atmospheric little mirror is decorated with a fine etched cross line around the entire frame, set against plain silver borders to each side. The silver leaf has worn and rubbed over the past century and more revealing the deep charcoal grey base coat showing years of historical use only enhancing its natural appearance. No chips or losses to the frame. Good original mirror plate and back boards. Silver powder room mirror circa 1840.
