Item Details

A small 19th century wall mirror. These iconic little mirrors were often placed in French powder rooms where the wealthy could apply powder to refresh their wigs. Nowadays they are perfect to use in the bathroom, cloakroom or indeed any room. The original gilding has rubbed and faded over the past two centuries revealing the rich terracotta base colour creating a wonderfully atmospheric surface. Later glass mirror plate. Original pine backboards. Replaced hanging loops and steel wire ready for wall mounting.
