Item Details

A 19th century French gilded wall mirror. Slightly smaller in scale than the larger Louis Philippe wall mirrors but still with enormous style. The gilded surface has rubbed a little in some areas revealing the rich terracotta coloured bole basecoat only reflecting its history and charm. A continuous row of natural coloured gesso beads sit neatly against the original glass mirror plate. Good original mirror plate with only minor foxing. Original wooden back boards. Replaced steel hanging loops and wire.
