The sweetest little French gilt wood footstool. The oval domed top to this pretty footstool boasts the original under cover with horse hair filling. It sits upon four low reeded legs united by the oval gilt wood base. The original gilded surface has rubbed and faded a little over the past century and more revealing traces of the amber coloured basecoat only enhancing its history and charm. French gilt wood foot stool for upholstery circa 1860.
