Item Details

A super 19th century French sofa in original paint with gilded detail. A gorgeous sofa in superb original condition. The show wood frame is structurally sound and still holds the original painted surface which has naturally worn and faded a little in places over the past century but only enhancing its beauty, the gilding still bright and full of lustre. The full back and seat has recently been re padded and re sprung but will benefit from further upholstery. Left as seen for upholstery of ones own choice. France circa 1890.
