Item Details

A good example of a 19th century French Cushion Mirror. Crested with an urn of abundant floral and foliate decorations in the Rococo style. The frame having beaded inner frame with an egg and dart external surround. The original mirror plates have been retained, the main central plate is bevelled while the mirror surrounds have reverse etched foliate designs. The finish is partially stripped to reveal the gilded elements while the other surfaces have been taken back the the original gesso.
