Esteemed English actor Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg sat for Senior in 1972. "I was introduced to Diana Rigg by the Fieldbourne galleries in St Johns Wood NW8. She gave me a sitting in October 72 at my flat in West Hampstead, with another short session in Dec at The Old Vic where she was playing 'Lady Macbeth.'

Bryan Senior was born in Bolton, Lancashire. Studied at Clifton College, Cambridge University and Chelsea School of Art. Lived in London from 1957. Won the Clare Prize, Cambridge, other awards included Greater London Council Spirit of London in 1981 and Druce-Constable in 1986. Had a wide range of solo shows, including Crane Kalman and Fieldborne Galleries, Architectural Association, Ashgate Gallery in Farnham and abroad. CASW, Nuffield Foundation, Financial Times, Hampstead Museum and Bolton Museum and Art Gallery hold examples of his work.
