'Pool and Rockpiles (Dartmoor)' 1973 by Bryan Senior b. 1935. Oil on canvas in a gilded frame chosen by the artist. Exhibition: 'Bryan Senior Dartmoor Landscapes', no 26, Exeter University 1975.

Bryan Senior was born in Bolton, Lancashire. Studied at Clifton College, Cambridge University and Chelsea School of Art. Lived in London from 1957. Won the Clare Prize, Cambridge, other awards included Greater London Council Spirit of London in 1981 and Druce-Constable in 1986. Had a wide range of solo shows, including Crane Kalman and Fieldborne Galleries, Architectural Association, Ashgate Gallery in Farnham and abroad. CASW, Nuffield Foundation, Financial Times, Hampstead Museum and Bolton Museum and Art Gallery hold examples of his work.
