If Henry Moore was to design lighting this would be the kind of design he would probably have come up with! Soholm Pottery based on Bornholm in Denmark used various designers in the 1950’s and 1960’s some of whom are now very collectable. Sven Aage Holm Sorensen who was famous for his lighting designs definitely worked with another Svend Aage called Jensen on some designs in the 1950’s. We only found one of the larger design online but it was marked as Sold !
The larger one is 35cms in height to the top of the fitting. The cream smaller one is 23cms in height.
Condition
The one in a lemon yellow creams 1950’s in it’s style and colouring, and the smaller one to a lesser extent. There is no obvious damage but you will see a black slash on one surface of the larger one that is under the glaze with a white paint like mark lower down on the same side.
They have been re-wired to meet current UK electrical regulations.
We can send them to a UK address for £20 post and packing. We’d pack each separately in a small box, then put the 2 boxes in a larger box with plenty of packing.
