Baccarat glass Encounter by Robert Rigot 26cms

This stylised sculpture is the larger of the 2 sizes that Baccarat made. Designed by Robert Rigot ( 1929-2023 ) there is a male and a female version, and we’re not sure which this one is ! Baccarat have an Ebay site where there is one for sale priced at over £1000 so this one is sensibly priced. There are no production dates mentioned that we could find, so it’s difficult to date it, but all Baccarat Crystal is very expensive to buy new and this is a substantial piece at over 2.6kgs in weight.

As well as being a very stylised figural form you can get some interesting optical effects depending on lighting etc.
