Decorative quality half block ship model with brass detailing


At first sight this looks like an original 19th Century half block model made by a talented sailor, but we think it’s been very cleverly put together using antique pieces possibly in the 1960’s or 70’s. So we’re selling it as a decorative piece rather than an antique. It’s taken a lot of work and dedication by someone very talented and hasn’t been done recently.


If you look carefully some of the brass fittings are missing.
