Don McKinlay large oil painting 1982.


Don McKinlay ( 1929-2017 ) has a very recognisable dynamic style of painting and doesn’t seem to have usually signed his works. The large titling of the work in red is a feature that we found on at least one other of his works online.


You’ll find plenty of information about the artist online along with a number of his paintings that have sold over recent years.


A Russian scene is an unusual subject, but this view of “The Kirov Leningrad 1982” obviously pre-dates the post communist return to the name St Petersburg.


Nicely framed in what looks to be the original frame.
