Elegant Victorian mahogany narrow hallstand c 1880


There are numerous Edwardian and Victorian hallstands out there, but very few to compare with the quality and style of this beautiful example. The quality of the turning is excellent making it really stand out in comparison to the standard models you’ll see. Then add in the stylish brass hooks which again are a step up from the usual ones and you have something that’s a little bit special. It’s also very neat in size compared to the usual ones you’ll see for sale.


We thought there might have been a makers stamp but have looked all over and there isn’t one.


The mahogany is a lovely rich dark colour.


Condition
In great original condition with no obvious marks or damage. The original metal drip tray shows signs of wear which you have to expect after nearly 150 years.
