Gillows of Lancaster rosewood library table


A lovely George IV library table. The basic design is a known Gillows model which is seen with a number of variations to the detailing. Not all Gillows pieces are stamped but this one is to an underside of one of the deep drawers. It’s on it’s original brass castors.


A lovely useful piece that will look smart in any style of interior. The previous owner had a glass top made which isn’t shown in the photos, but is included.


Condition
It had a few light scratches to the top when we sourced it, but it’s now been cleaned and re-polished and nothing is now visible. As with all antique pieces you do have to expect to see some minor signs of use if you look very closely.
