Good set of 6 Mogens Kold teak chairs by Arne Hovmand Olsen

It’s hard to find any model of carver chair and particularly this lovely design by Arne Hovmand Olsen. Mogens Kold are one of our favourite Danish makers and we’re always looking to buy their chairs and sideboards in particular. Their furniture from the 1960’s is beautifully made and like France and Son they seem to have particularly targeted the UK market.

This set aren’t labelled, but that isn’t unusual as they were often sold through high end retailers who didn’t like to sell labelled items. We bought this set locally in Newcastle so they were probably bought new at Chapmans of Siesta House. We’ve had other MK furniture that was bought at Chapmans and they were known for not selling pieces with makers labels.

This model dates from the mid to late 1960’s.

Our price includes re-upholstery of the seats by our in-house upholsterer. We can advise on fabric and leather or you can provide your own.

Condition
We’ve cleaned and oiled the teak frames which are looking great. The upholstery is in vintage condition and our price includes the re-upholstery but not the fabric or leather if required.
