Group of 6 Holmegaard glass Rondo vases.


These lovely globular hand blown vases were designed by Per Lutken who was one of the best and most prolific glass designers of his generation. They were designed in about 1955 and were made for about 12 years. The early ones all have years engraved to their bases along with Holmegaard and PL for Per Lutken , but those made after 1962 have 5 figure numbers and Holmegaard PL.


These are the 3 standard sizes for this design but as they’re hand blown they’re not all exactly the same size. Also the blue tinge to the glass will vary from day to day slightly.


The large ones are much harder to find and are dated 1956 and 1962. 2 medium ones are dated 1961 including the one that retains the bulk of it’s original factory label. The other 2 aren’t dated.


They have been bought separately, but we think they look particularly good as a group.


Condition
In good vintage condition with minor signs of wear if you look very closely
