Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Design Rare woods Muteneye cheese board


A nice early mark on this lovely cheese/meat cutting board designed by the great Jens Quistgaard . Richard Nissen whose company made all the Dansk pieces in Denmark until Dansk outsourced to cheaper countries in the 1970’s made a trip to the Far East to source new woods for a small range of more expensive pieces . He returned with unusual woods like Muteneye and Cocabola which were used for a short time in the early 1960’s .


These lovely cheese boards usually turn up in the US with other pieces from this series , but some can be found in Europe .


 


Condition
It has been used a little so if you look closely you will see some scratches but it’s in good vintage condition .


It’s 50cms x 35cms . It can be sent to most UK addresses for £15 post and packing .
