From a large collection we have bought comes this suncatcher with 3 stylised stick animals. Erik Hoglund was a prolific glass designer for Boda from 1953-1973. Amongst other things he was known for his stylised moulded glass figures of animals and humans some with an erotic flavour. This is the largest of a series of suncatchers he designed which came in various colours with 6 different moulded figures and groups. We also have another in the lovely royal blue colour with a naked male figure.


Suncatchers were designed to hang on these leather strips in a window where they would show the designs and colour beautifully.


Animals such as cats, dogs etc appear on a number of his pieces all done in his quirky cartoon style.


This one is engraved H836/F. H being for Hoglund.


Condition
Glass in good condition with no damage. On original leather strap break to one side as shown in photo.
