Pair of Danish Teak Framed Chairs by Sven Ellekaer for Komfort.


A stylish and great quality pair of solid teak framed armchairs with new zipped cushions in a woven petrol and black wool fabric from Eleanor Pritchard. Unfortunately this lovely top quality fabric is no longer available which is a great shame as it works so well with Mid-Century pieces.


This range was designed by Sven Ellekaer for Komfort, a quality Danish maker in the 1960’s. The style and detailing is similar to those by other well known makers and designers. Good pieces like this by lesser known designers offer great value and unlike many new pieces with a little care they’ll still be around in another 50 years.


The teak frames are in lovely condition and have been cleaned and polished. The cushion interiors are original sprung ones which were a more expensive option for some models in the 1960’s and sought after today .

Condition
Teak fully cleaned and oiled and looking great. The zipped cushion covers are new ones made by our in-house upholsterer. As with all vintage pieces you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.
