Pair of 1960’s Greaves & Thomas Villager armless chairs


We’ve not seen this armless version of these lovely chairs before apart from in the 1966 catalogue we have . The design was aimed at looking modern whilst still looking right in a traditional interior which is a difficult thing to do , but has definitely succeeded here . We’ve chosen a nice coral coloured fabric to emphasise the modern side of the design .


Made from afrormosia with beech stick backs . Greaves and Thomas specialised in upholstered furniture , but also had very successful ranges of dining and other furniture mostly with a contemporary twist .


Our in-house upholsterer has replaced the webbing  and made new cushions to current UK Fire Regulations which have been upholstered in a lovely coral wool  fabric .

Condition
Frames , cleaned and oiled and looking good . All new upholstery . As with all vintage furniture you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely .
