Pair of antique gilt bronze candlesticks


A lovely pair of candlesticks probably late 19th century French. Like so many they had been altered, wired and fitted out as electric table lamps, probably in the 1950’s. We’ve taken them back to candlesticks as the wiring was unsightly and the fittings dangerous. They look so much nicer as candlesticks.


This smaller pair had been in the family since the late 1950’s, and we then bought a much larger pair which are shown in 1 of the photos.

A little twisted , but the gilt is in lovely condition with a nice patina .
