Pair of antique gilt bronze candlesticks


A lovely pair of candlesticks probably late 19th century French . Like so many they had been altered , wired and fitted out as electric table lamps , probably in the 1950’s . We’ve taken them back to candlesticks as the wiring was unsightly and the fittings dangerous . They look so much nicer as candlesticks .


This smaller pair had been in the family since the late 1950’s , and we then bought a much larger pair which are shown in 1 of the photos .

A little twisted , but the gilt is in lovely condition with a nice patina .
