Designed by the great Danish designer Jens Quistgaard in the late 1950’s these extremely stylish pieces rarely appear for sale. Here we have a pair in fantastic condition with one teak stand. The teak will like all the prime period Dansk pieces will have been made in Denmark by the Nissen craftsmen who produced all the original designs in wood. The metalwork looks also to have been made in Denmark by the Dansk stamp unlike the more standard enamelled kitchen pots that were made elsewhere in Europe.
Condition
The quality is stunning compared to modern expensive cookware by the likes of Le Creuset and other modern premium brands which are considerably more basic and involve little craftsmanship.
The pots are 23cms in diameter plus the handles. Truly beautiful we bought them in Denmark some 10 years ago but have been reluctant to sell them, but do need the space !
