Pair of oak hunting chairs by Aksel Dahl for KP Mobler


These lovely solid oak armchairs were made by one of Denmark’s best known makers . They were designed by the little known Aksel Dahl apparently in 1972 presumably on the back of the success of Kurt Ostervig’s leather and oak hunting chairs made by the same maker. Equally well made, but a bargain in comparison. It’s always good to see a matching pair, and as they’re easy to re-upholster you can have them done in the colour and fabric of your choice. Our in-house upholsterer can advise on re-upholstery costs and requirements if you are interested in going down that route.


As you’ll see from the photos they retain their original labels.


Chair with arms 77cms wide, without arms 67cms. Seat height 41cms, Back height 101cms. Depth 86cms


Condition
The oak has been cleaned and oiled and is looking great. The fabric is in original vintage condition. The is some slight patina wear to the leather straps. As with all vintage furniture you do have to expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.
