Rare large brass finish Durlston table mirror


We bought the larger and smaller one together, but it’s the first time we’ve seen the larger version in a brass anodised finish as it’s usually in chrome. We’ve sold lots of Durlston mirrors over the years. They specialised in well made mirrors like these for bedrooms and bathrooms, but also made some other products such as lamps. The small one is also available at time of listing priced at £125.


Designed by Owen F Thomas and not Robert Welch as some people have incorrectly come up with.

Condition
The previous owner has tried to polish the brass at one side as shown in the photos, but as it has a lacquered finish all they have done is make it slightly darker, but it’s only obvious on close inspection. The mirror is in lovely vintage condition with no scratches or misting.
