Robert Heritage floating teak Dorrington sideboard.


A lovely design that’s more usually seen in rosewood than in teak. The Dorrington was designed either to stand on legs or like this one to hang on a wall. Designed by the probably Britain’s best mid century furniture designer for the quality maker Archie Shine whose pieces were retailed by Heals and the best provincial furniture shops. The floating simple design of this sideboard still looks as current today is it did when it was designed about 60 years ago.


We bought it along with a Poul Cadovius wall system and other pieces from the family of the original owners who bought everything new in the mid 1960’s.


213.5cms long, 45cms high and just under 46cms in depth.


Condition
In really good vintage condition with no obvious marks or damage , just some slight knocks and minor scratches if you look closely.


You will need to fix this to a structural wall. It fixes onto a long bar to hang and the previous owner also had a support bar underneath.
