Scarce A Younger teak cocktail cabinet by John Herbert


We sell a lot of A Younger pieces but although we’ve had a couple of their cocktail / wine cabinets over the last 15 years we’ve not had this one before. It matches a sideboard they made in the mid 1960’s which was called Croft. Only high end makers like Younger made cocktail cabinets as they were an expensive luxury item at the time so only sold in small numbers.


John Herbert was a very talented designer who worked for A Younger as design director for nearly 20 years until his untimely death in 1971.


This stylish cabinet has a pull out white laminate surface for mixing drinks so is also very practical. A Younger furniture in the early to mid 1960’s was always beautifully made using traditional cabinet making techniques.


Condition
Cleaned and oiled with no obvious marks or damage. As with all vintage furniture you do have to expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.
