Set of 6 Dalescraft Moller style teak chairs

This set are the rarer stronger version of Dalescraft’s take on the famous Moller 75 chair with the side stretcher bars. The first version of this model came without the side stretchers, so these date to the late 60’s. The stretchers strengthen the chair and make for firmer joints. They’d obviously be more expensive to make so would have cost more than the standard version.

Dalescraft and A Younger were mid-sized quality makers of good contemporary furniture in the 1960’s and both made a version of the more expensive Danish classic dining chair by Moller. Dalescraft seem to have had a link with the Danish firm of Norgaard who also made a version as we’ve twice had the carver version by them with Norgaard marks.

A lovely classic design that works with well with a Danish table for a lot less than you’d pay for those by a Danish maker.

Condition
The teak frames have been fully cleaned and oiled and are looking great. They have been re-upholstered in a lovely Camira fabric from their Hemp range. As with all vintage furniture you do have to expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.
