Smart pair 60’s teak Danish single beds


There are a few designs of Danish single beds when you look , but these are one of the most stylish that we’ve seen . Most are found singly , so it’s really nice to have a pair . They must have been made by a small quality maker as we couldn’t find any others of the same design . The choice of teak veneers , the shaping of the footboard along with the design details will have made them expensive when new . They came with the slats so all they need is some mattresses .


Most British single beds are 3ft wide , with smaller kids ones being 2ft 6″ . Danish single beds are usually a mid with of 2ft 9″ ( 85.5cms ) as these are . If you’re looking for non standard size mattresses we’ve found that Linthorpe Beds from Middlesbrough sell this and other rarer sizes . The length of the mattress is 190cms ( just ) which is the usual length of mattresses .

Condition
In lovely vintage condition when we got them , so all they needed was a very light clean and oil . Complete with bed slats . As with all vintage furniture you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely .
