Smart pair of 20th Century French wood planters
Its difficult to date this lovely pair of French wood planters and also to be sure of what wood they’re made from . Our educated guess would be to say somewhere around 1930-50 and say they were a type of fruitwood .
We’ve had them cleaned and oiled , so as long as you continue to oil them they are very useable as even external planters , but ideally they are best used internally and would look fabulous with bay trees or similar in them in an entrance lobby perhaps .
