Stylish 1950’s Barovier and Toso Zebrati bowl of unusual form


This beautiful heavy piece of Murano glass screams 1950’s. Zebrati glass was designed by Ercole Barovier in the 1950’s when he was one of the best known maker / designers working in Murano.


Zebrati glass is named after the striped animal with gold leaf and dark purple bands of colour cased in heavy clear glass. The base is polished as you’d expect. If you look online you should find other pieces from this rarely seen range with original Barovier and Toso label, but none seemed to have been signed.


Condition
In lovely vintage condition with no obvious chips or scratches, just some very minor signs of wear.
